My approach is normally oil paint on canvas or paper, sometimes experimenting with beeswax.  Starting with a realistic image, becoming more playful and spontaneous with the process of painting, producing something that references the landscape and people. Working on a number of paintings at the same time,  several sharing some detail or element with other works in the series. Often I don't know the outcome of my paintings I get totally immersed in the physical act of painting, layering and taking the paint away, find a response through the feelings or memory for a place.
